Great mind training opportunity in HWOD 8! It’s a trip UP the ladder and requires perseverance to push hard on that last 8 minute time trial effort!

 

Instructions:

 

HARD = all out time trial effort for the listed duration.

Notes from Jeff’s test run of this HIll Running Workout: I did this one in Richterswil, Switzerland on a hilly trail next to my home. The grades range from 4% to 15%+. Chilly early spring day, about 3C, but sunny! I left a marker at my 2min mark during the first interval and found it a big challenge to reach it at the halfway point in the 4min interval. I was about 10sec late. I really saw the impact on the 8min interval though — I was 30sec late at the 2min mark and 40sec late at 4min. I went full time trial mode the last 4min though, and while it sucked, it felt GREAT to finish! Use a mantra or color focus on this one. I used the green as a new energy symbol, a red park bench I passed as a virtual solar energy push and my blue shirt as a symbol to focus. Try it, it works!
