Hill Running Workout 17 #hillwod

The theme for Number 17 is ADVENTURE! This is an excellent travel workout, so pack it in your bags the next time you are exploring a new city. I designed this workout for a visit to the ultimate hilly town of Monaco, on the French Riveria. It will work anywhere you can find stairs though!







Notes from Jeff’s test run of this HILLWOD: We did this one on a Sunday morning in May in Monaco, on the French Riveria. Monaco is built on a steep hillside, so there are seemingly unlimited hills and staircases. We forgot the map, so created a route spontaneously. Our goal was 2,000 steps in one hour. With 10 minutes to go, we were still short 200+ steps and kept discovering the same stair cases. This put us in sprint and adventure mode, so the energy was high as we raced across town looking for new stairs. We lucked out by finding a nice LONG stair case, so we made it to 2,250 steps when the timer went off. It was so much fun that we added another 250 stairs in a bonus overtime round, to finish with 2,500+ for the day. Here’s the Strava link if you want to check out the map. Awesome workout!
