Team Training

Team Building and Corporate Events in Switzerland & Abroad

I’ve trained and developed teams in a wide variety of settings, from corporate to military to sports. I specialize in delivering team experiences that are high-energy, memorable, and customized for the client’s needs. I also provide workshop facilitation support and event Emcee services.

Common overarching goals are to improve team cohesion, performance under pressure, and communications. What makes my events different from typical corporate team events is the level of customization and alignment with the meeting’s objectives. This is about much more than entertainment and ticking a team-building box. My aim is to fully understand the themes my client’s want to reinforce and then structure a unique activity around delivering the coaching and experiences to make a tangible impact on those themes.

Activities vary widely based on a group’s needs, personality and location, and may include facilitated workshops, icebreakers, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, simulated spy missions, chaos drills, music & art, trust & communications exercises, search & rescue rescue simulations, accuracy challenges, and tasks designed to expand limits and take people out of their comfort zones in a safe and controlled manner.

Meticulous and Bespoke Preparation

My team events are prepared and delivered with a keen view of the client’s needs. I work with each client to ensure that the level of physicality is appropriate to the group and setting. Some events are extremely light physically (set for indoors and in business clothes). Other events are quite challenging physically. Most commonly, I incorporate a mix with the potential for the team to share activities across the group. This ensures that the challenge is appropriate for each attendee type.

Activities are designed to expose and train the client’s requested area(s) of development. This typically includes a blend of challenges spanning physical, creative, mental, trust, humor, camaraderie, senses, awareness, and more. I often deliver events that combine a bespoke inspirational talk with a team activity and facilitated workshop discussions.

Below you will find a menu of events I’ve delivered in the past for companies and sports teams. I’m happy to combine activities or custom-design an event to meet your needs and location. And if your team is remotely located, I’m happy to talk with you about innovative virtual team training experiences I developed during the pandemic.

Here we partner to create high-value breakout discussions and mini workshops to match your corporate themes and needs. My role is Emcee, moderator, time-keeper and energy manager. I'm also a thinking partner, as I work with leaders in the weeks before an event to design this important part of most team off-site meetings. I help you tie themes across an event and link the event experience directly to your needs within the organization. This could include responding to organizational and market changes, reviewing a year, preparing new goals for an upcoming year, fostering a greater common understanding, or tackling a challenging situation. Having experienced hundreds of events across industries, countries, and cultures, I bring experience to the table, which can save event organizers time and ensure that we get the most out of a group's time together. In this role, I have also supported application of assessment insights, such as the Clifton StrengthsFinder.
This hands-on workshop teaches key storytelling skills for business. Participants leave with a toolkit for delivering engaging, high-impact stories. We cover improvised stories, bridging techniques, landing a story with the desired impact, and bringing life to dry, technical topics. We also dive into the topic of knowing how to read a room without over-feeding the outliers.
This exercise feels like living a spy thriller movie! In the virtual setting of a crisis involving the UN and a conflict between two nations in Africa, competing teams must navigate a series of challenges to rescue a downed pilot and retrieve a valuable item of cargo. This exercise tests and trains communication skills, leadership & coordination, and performance under pressure. The physicality is adapted for each group and within groups.
Teams compete and collaborate to reach a goal in a fast-paced, chaotic-feeling outdoors exercise designed to develop leadership and followership skips, while testing communications, creativity and problem-solving capabilities. Leaders are hired and fired, requirements change, and chaos rains. In a fun and excited manner, this exercise trains valuable skills for the modern workplace. This activity may be completed at outdoors team events in sports clothes and is adapted to all levels of physicality and fitness.
